Gelato Bar & Espresso Caffe’, the popular venture in Studio City owned and operated by Gail Silverton and Joel Gutman, has upgraded their coffee program to complement their artisan gelato selections.
Silverton and Gutman have replaced their coffee library with award-winning lots from Vancouver’s premiere coffee roasting company, 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters owned and operated by the Piccolo Brothers, Vince, Michael and Sammy.

Michael and Vince travel around the world to meet directly with the farmers at their coffee farms in order to develop relationships that create a better future for everyone involved. We set ethical standards with our direct relationship program and pay a special premium that is above the Fair Trade price standard. The resulting discoveries from our efforts are proudly brought back to North America for you and your customers to enjoy.

Gelato Bar uses the top rated Synesso Cyncra espresso machine, manufactured in Seattle, Washington. The machine is a highly engineered product developed from years of espresso extracting research. It uniquely enables our trained baristas to pull shots to the maximum effectiveness by delivering and maintaining pinpoint water temperatures throughout the entire extraction process, producing a superior cup of coffee. In addition, 49th Parallel drip coffees are being ground and manually brewed by the cup, with the Hario V60 pourover drip system, promising the absolute freshest cup of coffee possible.
